Fall "Sun Outage" - What?
Twice a year, during the spring and fall, you may experience some degree of television interference due to a phenomenon known as "sun outages."
The Fall Sun Outages will occur between October 3 through October 13.
What is a sun outage? A sun outage is an interruption in satellite signals caused by interference from solar radiation. This happens when the sun is in direct line with a communication satellite and the sun's radiation overwhelms that satellite signal and results in an interruption to your TV service.
During October 3 through October 13, you might experience
interference with picture quality and sound when watching television. This interference will last several minutes and your picture quality and sound should return to normal.
Sun outages do not affect internet or phone service.
